Robin Moses Nail Art Collab

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. Today I have a recreation of a recent mani by Robin Moses. Nora got a group of us together to recreate Robin's Romantic Pink Hearts mani, she has a video on YouTube in case you want to see it and give it a try (click here to watch it). I'm so glad Nora thought of this, it was so nice to be a part of it. Also, it got me using acrylic paint again, something I hadn't done in such a long time. A big thanks to Nora for bringing us together, and to Robin for inspiring us to try out some new designs. Here's the collage Nora put together for us.
For my mani, I started off with a sheer nude base. Once that dried, I added a layer of top coat because I decided to use some nail vinyls to achieve a nice "V" shape. I let the top coat dry for around 15 minutes to be on the safe side, and stuck on the vinyls, then I applied the red polish. I did one nail at a time, so I took off the vinyl right after applying the red polish. The next step was adding the gold lines, so I did that using some acrylic paint. Then, I mixed some gold and green paint and painted on the leaves. With white and pink paint, I added in the hearts. The last thing to do was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
I really like how it turned out. It's such a pretty design, and perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day festivities. The rest of the participants did such a wonderful job. We were all inspired by the same mani, and we each made it our own. I have all the participants listed below so you can see their solo shots if you'd like.

Participants: Nora - Isha - Karin - Sheily - Gigi - Shannon - Tricia

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this collab. As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Lavish Polish: Squad Goals 2 Collection

 Press Sample

Happy Tuesday! I hope you're all doing well. Today I have some swatches of the Squad Goals 2 Collection by Lavish Polish. This will unfortunately be Emely's last collection, as she is closing up Lavish Polish on January 31st. This collection consists of 2 crellies and 2 jellies, and it's available for purchase right now. She also has many other polishes available, so go check out her shop.
First up we have Jolly Holly, a soft minty baby blue crelly with shifting flakies and holo micro glitter. It's so pretty, it reminded me of Cinderella. My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat.

Next up is Lazy Daisy, a delicate light pink crelly with shifting flakies and holo micro glitter. Perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day celebrations. My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat.

Next, we have Crazy Tracy, a classic-red jelly with shifting flakies and holo micro glitter. I'm usually not a huge fan of red, but this polish changed that. The formula was perfect and it went on so smoothly, honestly one of the best applications ever. Pictures don't do this polish justice, you just have to see this in person, it has a sort of glow to it. Just stunning! My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat, although I felt like one coat would've been enough. Depends on the look you're going for.

Lastly, we have Chatty Cathy, a deep purple jelly with shifting flakies and holo micro glitter. I don't know why, but for some reason it reminded me of grape soda when I was applying it. Anyone else, or is it just me? Lol. Anyway, this polish has so much depth to it, and the shade is beautiful. Another great formula. My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat. Again, I think I could've gotten away with 1 coat, but did 2 for the purpose of the review.

Another beautiful collection by Emely, she's definitely going out with a bang.

I have to say I'm really going to miss her and her beautiful creations. Thanks once again for trusting me with your pretties hun, it's been a pleasure working with you. Wishing you the very best in the next chapter of your life.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed the review and swatches. Remember, these and more polishes are available now in Emely's shop. Many polishes are discounted, so help her clear out her inventory. I've left her socials below in case you're interested.

Beauty Big Bang Review: Christmas Nail Water Decals

 Press Sample

Hey guys! Today, I'll be sharing the last item I received from Beauty Big Bang. A big thanks to Maggie for providing the items. If you have missed out on any of the reviews, you can look back through my blog to read them.

So, these are the Christmas Deer Nail Water Decals (SKU: J4220-1C). The backs of the decals are white, so you don't really need to apply a white base under them. To use these, you have to cut the decals up, and then dip them in water for at least 20 seconds. Once they are ready, they will start to peel off by themselves. You can then separate it from the paper, and apply them onto your nail. They're easy to use, and you can fix them as long as they are wet. Once you are happy with placement, you can just use a napkin to absorb the excess water. The next step would be to remove the extra decal if there's any left over. For this, you can use: acetone, an orange wood stick, scissors, or whatever you have on hand. You can apply top coat after that is done.
For this mani I started off with a base coat, and while that was drying, I began the water decal process. I actually placed the decal onto my clear stamper, and transferred it by pressing it down on my nail. Like I said before, I didn't use a white base for this mani, the decals were opaque enough on their own. You can see a few cracks in the decals, so you could definitely use a white base if you'd prefer that. I just didn't use one for the purpose of the review. On my ring finger, I used a red base color and applied a piece of decal that was left over from the deer decal. The last thing to do was to apply top coat.

So what do you think of these? I thought they were pretty good, especially since they were opaque enough on their own. They are really easy to work with as well, and you can even use them as an accent nail.

Beauty Big Bang Review: Stamping Plate 15

 Press Sample

Hi guys! Today I have the last stamping plate of the Beauty Big Bang Christmas Set to share with you.

The Beauty Big Bang 15 Stamping Plate (SKU: J6402TM-5A) features: Santa hats/mittens, Christmas tape, stripes, etc. It also includes some images that can be used for non-holiday manis. For example, the glasses and mustaches can be used for Father's Day.
Anyway, I started off with a white base for my pointer and pinky, and a gold base for my middle and ring finger. I picked up the stripe image, and did some reverse stamping using: gold, green and red. It did take me a while to fill in each line, but I like how they looked. Next, I used the same red and green polishes to stamp the Santa hats/mittens on my other nails. I kind of wish I had just used the red polish because it was more bright and noticeable, but the green still looks nice. I did have to fill in the hats/mittens in with white before stamping them on. To finish off, I applied top coat.

Beauty Big Bang Review: Stamping Plate 14 & Black Stamping Polish

 Press Sample

Hey guys! Today I will be sharing the next stamping plate in the Christmas Set from Beauty Big Bang, as well as the black stamping polish I received.

First up is the Beauty Big Bang 14 Stamping Plate (SKU: J6402TM-4A). It has some very nice holiday sweater patterns, and a gorgeous snowflake design, which is the one I used. The plate is also nicely etched, so it's easy to pick up the images.
Next we have the Beauty Big Bang 002 Black Stamping Polish (SKU: J6415TM-2A). It was beautifully opaque which I was very impressed with.
For my mani, I started with a grey polish with gold glitter as my base. I used the black stamping polish, and the images came out very crisp. Afterwards, I used a gold polish to fill in the circles that the image had, I stamped the image onto my nail once it dried a bit. Last thing to do was to add top coat. I would recommend you wait a minute or 2 before adding top coat, to give the stamping polish some time to dry completely. I didn't wait as long as I should have, and I smeared the design a tiny bit. That was a mistake on my part.

I love this mani so much! It came out even better than I thought it would. I'm also very pleased with how opaque and crisp the images look, the stamping polish definitely made a good impression, I recommend you give it a try.

Beauty Big Bang Review: Stamping Plate 13

 Press Sample

Happy Monday guys! I have the next stamping plate in the Beauty Big Bang Christmas Set to show you.

This is the Beauty Big Bang 13 Stamping Plate (SKU: J6402TM-3A). The plate features some happy snowmen, a wreath, a present, snowflakes and a variety of other images. I decided to use the snowflakes, and the bottom right image that has snowflakes/ribbon/trees.
I started off with a stunning pinkish taupe polish. Then, I picked up the image of the snowflakes/ribbon/trees, and got rid of the trees with a piece of tape. Once the trees were gone from my stamper, I stamped the remaining image onto my middle nail. For the rest of my nails, I picked up the snowflakes and stamped them on. To finish off, I applied some top coat.

Feel Better Jay Lynn

Hi guys, today's post is a bit different than usual.

Some of you probably heard that Jay Lynn was having some medical issues recently. Well, Meghan brought a few of us ladies together to do some manis for Jay Lynn, in the hopes that it would help her feel a bit better, and to let her know that we're wishing her a quick recovery.

We didn't have a specific design for the manis, just a coral/mint theme. All the participating ladies did a wonderful job, and Meghan put together a collage of all the manis.
For my contribution, I decided to do some mermaid nails, because we all know everyone loves mermaid manis, right? Hehe. Anyway, I started with a white base so my colors would be bright, then I did some smoosh nail decals and let them dry. I used a coral jelly and a mint polish for the decals by the way. I applied a top coat on the decals and let them dry, once dry, I picked them up one by one. I actually set the decal on my clear stamper and applied a thin coat of the mint polish before pressing on the decal onto my nail. It worked pretty well, but I recommend using some kind of liquid latex barrier, or whatever you can use for easy clean-up. The coral jelly was kind of sheer on the decals, so I added a bit more of that polish with a brush. Then, I grabbed a glitter polish, and sponged a bit on each nail. Afterwards, I double stamped on the mermaid scales with a coral creme polish, and then with a gold holo polish. On my ring finger, I used that same glitter polish from before, but I sponged it on the entire nail. Last thing to do, was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
I'm so glad I was able to participate in this collab. A big thanks to Meghan for bringing us together and organizing this.

I hope you guys liked the mani. As always, thank you for stopping by, and until next time.
