Beauty Big Bang Review: Stamping Plate XL-001

 Press Sample

Hi guys! Today I have the next Beauty Big Bang stamping plate to share with you.

This is Stamping Plate XL-001 (SKU: BBBXL-001). It has some ocean, tropical, and fruit images that are great for summer. I did have a bit of trouble with picking up some of the more detailed parts of the images, but I think it was because I was using a stamper I'm still getting used to.
For this mani, I started off with a beautiful jelly polish. I stamped on a beautiful scalloped scale design on my pointer, middle finger, and pinky. On my ring finger, I decided to make a little oceanic scene. To make the ocean scene, I used 2 images from the plate, only taking certain parts from them. For example, I stamped on a seahorse and starfish from 1 plate, and a jellyfish and coral from another. I think it came out really neat. To finish off, I just applied top coat.

So what do you guys think? I hope you like this mani, it was so fun to do. Also, you can see that you're able to mix-and-match from the images to make up something different, which is pretty cool.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the review. Remember, you can use my code ANNY for 10% off your order. I've listed their socials below, in case you're interested.

Beauty Big Bang Review: Stamping Plate 017 & Bliss Polish 5th Anniversary Collaboration

 Press Sample

Hi guys! I have some Beauty Big Bang items to share with you the next couple of posts. Today I'll be showing you one of their stamping plates.

This is Stamping Plate 017 (SKU: J6482TM), it's full of LGBT pride and love images. As always, the images looked well-etched, and picked up nicely. This stamping plate can be used for rainbow pride nails, marriage/wedding nails, valentine's day nails, etc.
The image I chose for my mani, was the full-nail hearts image. I first began with a crelly for my base, then I picked up my image, and started filling each heart in using a variety of polishes. Once they were all filled in, I went ahead and stamped them onto my nail. I did that for each nail. After I finished, I went ahead and applied top coat.
Close-Ups:
I also did this mani with a Bliss Polish Anniversary Collaboration in mind, which is why I used the entire Hi-5 Anniversary Collection by Bliss Polish. A big thanks to Mayra for putting this collage together.
I love how this mani turned out. Like I said, the images picked up well and you can get so many different manis with this plate.

Well, I really hope you enjoyed this short review and mani. If you're planning to make a purchase from Beauty Big Bang, remember to use my code ANNY for 10% off your order. I've listed their socials below, in case you'd like to give them a follow.

 Press Sample

Happy Thursday guys! I'm so excited for today's post, because I have swatches of the Hi-5 Anniversary Collection by Bliss Polish. This collection is to celebrate Bliss Polish's 5th anniversary, and it consists of 5 polishes. These polishes will be available for purchase tomorrow - August 10th, at 10 am PST. Each polish will retail for $9.
First up, we have Hoodpinked. It is described as a medium pink crelly filled with pink and gold micro flakes. My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat.

Last but not least, we have Hi-5. This one is described as a white crelly filled with gun metal holo, as well as fuchsia/silver/white iridescent glitters in various sizes. For the purpose of the review, I did 3 coats to reach full opacity. In my opinion, 2 coats would be fine, but only because I don't mind having a vnl. Also, I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't really have to fish for glitter, each brush stroke had a decent amount of glitter. I just love a good crelly, and the colors are so pretty. My swatches show 3 coats plus top coat.

Born Pretty Store Review: Black Gel Polish, Holographic Nail Powder, Dual-Ended Silicone Tool, Nail Art Stickers, and Stamping Plate

 Press Sample

Hey guys! Today I have a review of some Born Pretty Store items I was sent for review.
First up, we have this Black Gel Polish (item #41872).
I began by applying a peel-off base coat (you can tell because a part of my pinky is lifting), so after that dried, I applied the polish. I did 2 thin coats of the polish, curing after each coat. I then finished it off with a No-Wipe Gel Top Coat, and cured that. It ends up looking so shiny, and it's a great black.
Close-Up:
Up next, we have the Holo Nail Powder (item #34011). The powder comes in a container with about 1.5g of product (according to the website), and an eyeshadow applicator.
Close-Up:
I applied the powder right after trying out the Black Gel Polish, because it was ready for the powder when I applied the No-Wipe Top Coat. I actually tried using the Silicone Tool (which I'll be showing you in a bit), but I couldn't get it to work with the powder. Instead, I ended up using the applicator that was provided. To get it on my nail, I dipped the applicator into the powder, and then rubbed it on the nail. It wasn't really sticking on all the nail how I would've liked, so I started to press the applicator against my nail, sort of a dabbing motion. I found that worked best for me. Once I was satisfied with how it looked, I used a fluffy brush to get rid of the excess powder on my nails. Last thing to do, was to apply another coat of the No-Wipe Top Coat. Even though I wasn't able to achieve the full-holo look I was going for, I was still very happy with the end result. The powder was so beautiful, and the holo looked amazing.

Blurry Close-Up:
Next, we have the Dual-Ended Silicone Tool (item #34225, #3). This tool, is supposed to help with applying and buffing in powders on your nails. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it to work with the holo powder. I did manage to use it for my next nail art though. As you can see, the silicone tool has 2 different sides. There are a variety of other silicone tools available on the website as well, all with different sides. I personally liked the shapes this one had, and I found the doe-foot looking side helped with pressing down nail stickers on your nails because it's curved and nail-shaped. I haven't really tried the triangular-shaped side yet, but I'm sure I'll find a use for it.
So next, I have these Nail Art Stickers (item #20030, 24). These have some nice lace hearts and flowers, and they are gold. The stickers are pretty easy to work with, you just peel them off like a sticker, and then lay them onto your nail.
For this mani, I started with a blue base. I then picked the stickers I was going to use, and laid them on my nails, cutting the excess with some cuticle nippers. To make sure they stuck well on my nail, I used the silicone tool and rubbed them on. The shape of the silicone tool helped a lot because it's a bit curved, so it sat nicely on my nail. Once the stickers were down, I applied top coat.
Close-Ups:
Lastly, I have this gorgeous Baroque Design Stamping Plate BP-X01 (item #29974). I loved all the images, and they gave me a Haunted Mansion sort of feel which completely inspired my mani.
I started with a beautiful blurple as my base color, and then began choosing the images I would be using. I chose the candlestick because there's a floating candlestick in a hallway on the Haunted Mansion ride. Next, I picked the image that kind of looks like the wallpaper, and stamped it on my ring finger and pinky. For the middle nail, I chose to use the mirror. I stamped the image on my nail, and decided to use nail foil to make the mirror more real-looking. I applied nail foil glue to the middle, let it dry, and then pressed the foil onto the glue, rubbing it down to get it to stick. After that was done, I once again stamped on the mirror image to get a clean look. Since I used the foil, I went ahead and used the No-Wipe Gel Top Coat to finish this mani off, so the foil wouldn't wrinkle. I just love how this mani turned out, the mirror ended up looking so cool.
