Beauty Big Bang Review: Christmas Nail Water Decals

 Press Sample

Hey guys! Today, I'll be sharing the last item I received from Beauty Big Bang. A big thanks to Maggie for providing the items. If you have missed out on any of the reviews, you can look back through my blog to read them.

So, these are the Christmas Deer Nail Water Decals (SKU: J4220-1C). The backs of the decals are white, so you don't really need to apply a white base under them. To use these, you have to cut the decals up, and then dip them in water for at least 20 seconds. Once they are ready, they will start to peel off by themselves. You can then separate it from the paper, and apply them onto your nail. They're easy to use, and you can fix them as long as they are wet. Once you are happy with placement, you can just use a napkin to absorb the excess water. The next step would be to remove the extra decal if there's any left over. For this, you can use: acetone, an orange wood stick, scissors, or whatever you have on hand. You can apply top coat after that is done.
For this mani I started off with a base coat, and while that was drying, I began the water decal process. I actually placed the decal onto my clear stamper, and transferred it by pressing it down on my nail. Like I said before, I didn't use a white base for this mani, the decals were opaque enough on their own. You can see a few cracks in the decals, so you could definitely use a white base if you'd prefer that. I just didn't use one for the purpose of the review. On my ring finger, I used a red base color and applied a piece of decal that was left over from the deer decal. The last thing to do was to apply top coat.

So what do you think of these? I thought they were pretty good, especially since they were opaque enough on their own. They are really easy to work with as well, and you can even use them as an accent nail.
