Glam Nails Challenge: Dec.20 - Reindeer

Hi guys! Today I have some reindeer nails to show you, these are for Dec.20 of the Glam Nails Challenge. I started with a red polish as my base, which I actually got from my sister this Christmas. I then chose some reindeer images and stamped them on my nails. To finish this mani off, I added some white dots, or "snow", to my middle and ring nails. The last thing to do was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
I like how these turned out. But I'm now kind of wishing that I had added a holo glitter topper on some parts of each nail, just for an added sparkle. Lol.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Dec.17 - Christmas Wreath

Hi guys! The Dec.17 theme for Glam Nails Challenge was Christmas Wreath. I started off with red, white and black as my base colors. On my white nail, I used some round glitters and did a glitter placement to create the wreath. I only had a black/gold/white glitter mix, but I actually really liked how the colors looked all together in the end. To finish off the wreath, I picked up a bow image and made it into a decal, it actually popped up a bit because I added a second coat of top coat to it, which looked kind of cool. On my black nail, I added a gold and white glitter to complete the look. Last thing to do was apply top coat.
Close-Ups:
I really like how these turned out. I didn't use traditional colors, but I think they still look pretty Christmas-y.

Well thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Dec.06 & 10 - Santa Claus & Jingle Bells

Merry Christmas everyone! If you're celebrating, I hope you're having a wonderful time with your loved ones. If not, I hope you're having a good day regardless.

So, I know I'm really late in posting this, but I hope you like it. This mani is for the Glam Nails Challenge of Dec.06 and 10, the themes were Santa Claus and Jingle Bells. I started with a gorgeous green polish with copper flakies as my base. Then, I picked up the bell and Santa images and did some reverse stamping. After they were filled in, I waited for the polish to dry a bit so I could stamp them on. Once they were on my nails, all I had to do was apply top coat.
Close-Ups:
I really like how they came out, I hope you do too. Also, I absolutely LOVE my base polish, it's so pretty!

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Nov.29 - First Frost

Hey guys! I have the last mani of November's Glam Nails Challenge, and the theme for Nov.29 was First Frost. When I thought about the challenge, frosted windows came to mind. I thought it would be so cool to capture the look of frosted windows, so I looked on Google for some inspiration. Well, it was more for knowledge, lol! I live in Southern California, so I have no idea what a frosted window looks like. After looking online, I put some thought into what products I'd use, and it was a bit tough trying to come up with a way to execute this properly. Anyway, I ended up choosing a sheer frosty white, I applied a coat of that and let it dry. Using that same polish, I applied some on a sponge, and sponged it on the outer sides of each nail. Afterwards, I used a coral image to create the "frost" on the sides. Then, I added some small white shards from a topper polish with the help of an orange stick. To finish off, I sponged on some white on the edges of each nail, and applied top coat when it was dry. I hope you like them.
Close-Ups:
I actually like the way they came out, and I think they look pretty neat. I just hope that I was able to achieve the look I was going for. They look kind of better in real life though.

Just so you know, I'm planning to join the December challenge, so stay tuned for that. Thank you for stopping by, until next time.

Halloween Mani Inspired by Kristi

Hi guys! Today's mani is a recreation of one of Kristi's manis. She's having a giveaway at the moment, so this recreation will be an entry to that. Anyway, she did a cute little Halloween mani back in October which I had to recreate. I know Halloween came and went, but I picked it because I've been missing it so much, lol. I was so sad when I had to take down all of my Halloween decorations. So, this makes up for that in a way.

Alrighty, so I started with a couple coats of an orange jelly polish. I didn't have a creme polish that resembled the one in her original mani, so I went with this one. I then picked out a dusty purple to stamp with. I stamped on the bats on my middle and ring finger, and added some dots on my other nails to finish the look. The last thing to do was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
Original/Recreation:
The manis don't look exactly the same, and after seeing how sheer the stamping turned out with the purple, I wish I had used a black stamping polish instead. This orange was also very difficult to capture, it looked a bit lighter in real life, maybe a bit similar to the creme Kristi used. Well, it still looks pretty nice, I hope you all like it.

As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.28 - Frankenstein

Woohoo! I finished the challenge you guys, I feel so accomplished, lol. Anyway, I hope you're all having a great day. Today's Glam Nails Challenge for Oct.28 is Frankenstein, and I took inspiration from some images on Google. To create the stitches, I put down some tape and made long lines of polish, then I cut them up when they were dry. For the eyes I used some round white glitter and painted on the iris and pupil, I even added a little highlight. The mouth was actually from a jack o'lantern image, and the stitch on his face is from a net image which I just took away from. This was the end result.
Close-Ups:
I wasn't completely pleased with the result, but it's not horrible. I would've liked the stitches to be thinner, and for the face nail not to have all those bubbles. But oh well.

As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.25 - Ghosts

Hi guys! Ghosts is the theme for Oct.25 of the Glam Nails Challenge. Some days back, Kayla did a pond mani featuring zombies. They looked pretty cool, so I took that idea, but instead I used ghosts. I couldn't do as many layers as she did, but they still look ok. On my accent, I just added a glitter topper in between layers and then on top as well. After that dried, I stamped on the ghost and the word "Boo". The last thing to do was add top coat.
Close-Ups:
Well I hope you guys liked them. Thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.18 - Sugar Skull

Hi guys! Today's Glam Nails Challenge is Sugar Skull for Oct.18. I decided to use some really bright neon colors for my base since Dia de los Muertos is usually very bright and colorful. I chose my polishes and did a smoosh mani using my stamper, and added top coat to that after it dried. I then chose my images, did some reverse stamping, and then applied the images to my nails. I actually took off the mustache to one of the sugar skull images so I could make a sugar skull couple. I think they turned out pretty cute. I also added some Cempasuchils, or Marigolds, because they are usually used for the Day of the Dead celebrations.
Close-Ups:
So what do you guys think? I know they're a bit vibrant for Halloween, but I think they came out pretty cool.

Oh, and here's how the base looked before I added any stamping.
Close-Ups:
Well thank you for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.15 - Candy Corn

Hi guys! Candy Corn is today's theme for Oct.15 of the Glam Nails Challenge. I was actually going to do a gradient, but it didn't really work out, so I had to come up with something else. I decided to make decals, so I painted on all 3 colors on my silicone mat in the right order. I made long lines of polish for each color and let it dry completely. I then added a coat of top coat, let that dry and then picked it up after dry. To make the candy corn, I took some scissors and cut them out. I painted my black base on and let it dry. To apply the decal, I used some clear polish over the black and then pressed on the decal. Some of the colors weren't as bright, so I used a small brush and the according polish on top. To finish off, I applied my top coat. It kind of sounds like a lot, but it wasn't that difficult. Well here's how it came out.
Close-Ups:
I hope you guys liked it. I'm actually kind of glad that my gradient didn't turn out well, or else I wouldn't have done this design. Lol.

Well thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.04 - Skeleton

Hi guys! I'm back with the second mani for the Glam Nails Challenge, the theme was Skeleton. I started with a black base and added a coat of an opalescent polish topper. After that was dry, I went ahead and picked a few skeleton images and stamped them on. The last thing to do was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
I love how the base color turned out, it goes so well together. I couldn't have picked a better color. Yes, I know white goes with everything, so it would've looked fine over another color, but the green-ish color looks appropriate for a Halloween mani. To me it looks as if the skeletons are in the dirt or a grave. Spooky, huh? Lol. Well I like the end result, I hope you guys like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.

A Weekly Dose of Rainbows: Halloween

Hi guys! Today I have another mani for A Weekly Dose of Rainbows. This month's theme is Halloween, so I thought I'd do a cemetery scene. For my base I did a coat of white so my orange/yellow gradient would be bright. When that was done, I went ahead and stamped on the images. Last thing to do was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
I really hope you guys liked these. Also, be ready for more Halloween manis because I'm participating in a challenge. It's been a while since my last one, so I hope I can get through it. I already posted my first one yesterday, so go check it out in case you missed it.

Fall Nails Inspired by @polishedtwins

Happy First Day of Fall! Oh my gosh, I've been waiting to say that for a while now, lol. I'm so excited Summer is finally over and Fall is here. You know what that means. Cooler weather, warm drinks, boots and scarves, leaves changing color, pumpkins everywhere, Halloween, and much more. I'm so ready!

Anyway, I did a mani to welcome this beautiful season, which just happens to be my favorite. I actually saw this mani on Pinterest a long time back and I saved it because I wanted to try it. This mani was inspired by Kristin from polishedtwins, click here to see her mani. I did the same glitter gradient she did, but I stamped on the leaves instead of painting them on, and I didn't color them in either. Well here they are.
Close-Ups:
I also added a matte top coat to see how they'd look.
Close-Ups:
I hope you guys liked them. I think they looked much better in real life though, it was pretty difficult to capture these how I wanted. I still like how they turned out, simple but cute.

Like always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time guys.

Lavish Polish: Vacation Collection

 Press Sample

Hi guys, I hope you're ready because I have swatches of the Vacation Collection by Lavish Polish. This is their Summer collection which consists of 4 crellies, and let me just tell you, they're gorgeous! They all dry pretty quick, and the formulas are easy to work with. The only one that gave me a bit of trouble formula-wise was Bahamas, it did pool on the side of my nails at times, so just be careful when applying it.
First up we have Maui. It's described as a hot pink base polish with silver holo micro glitter, as well as gold shimmer. The color reminded me of Barbie when I had it on. My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat/matte top coat on my ring finger.
2 coats plus top coat/matte top coat:

Matte Close-Up:
I also did some nail art using each polish, here's the nail art I did using Maui. I based the mani around the image of the hula dancer, but I actually didn't mean for the mani to have a Hawaiian theme because of the name of the polish. It just worked out perfectly that way, lol.
Close-Ups:
Up next is Bahamas. It's described as a sky blue base polish with silver holo micro glitter and blue shimmer. This polish reminds me of Cinderella, it's so pretty! My swatches show 3 coats plus top coat/matte top coat on my ring finger.

Here's the nail art I did using Bahamas. I tried to base my mani on what I imagine the beaches there are like.

Next is Bora Bora. It's described as a sea foam green base polish with gold and silver holo micro glitter, as well as some gold shimmer. The gold shimmer makes it that much more special and beachy. My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat/matte top coat on my ring finger.

Matte Close-Up:
The nail art I did using Bora Bora was a bit different. I chose a water decal that pretty much matched the polish, and then used black (also in the decal) to complete the look.
Close-Ups:
Last but not least, we have Jamaica. It's described as a peachy orange base polish with silver holo micro glitter, and some gold shimmer. It's stunning! My swatches show 2 coats plus top coat/matte top coat on my ring finger.

The nail art I did using Jamaica is kind of like the last one. I chose a water decal that resembled the polish, and then added some white round glitters to complete the mani.
Close-Ups:
Aren't they beautiful? I can't even pick a favorite, I love them all.

The Vacation Collection by Lavish Polish is now available for purchase as a set or individually.

Well I hope you all enjoyed the swatches and nail art. As always, thank you for stopping by, and until next time.
