Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.28 - Frankenstein

Woohoo! I finished the challenge you guys, I feel so accomplished, lol. Anyway, I hope you're all having a great day. Today's Glam Nails Challenge for Oct.28 is Frankenstein, and I took inspiration from some images on Google. To create the stitches, I put down some tape and made long lines of polish, then I cut them up when they were dry. For the eyes I used some round white glitter and painted on the iris and pupil, I even added a little highlight. The mouth was actually from a jack o'lantern image, and the stitch on his face is from a net image which I just took away from. This was the end result.
Close-Ups:
I wasn't completely pleased with the result, but it's not horrible. I would've liked the stitches to be thinner, and for the face nail not to have all those bubbles. But oh well.

As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.25 - Ghosts

Hi guys! Ghosts is the theme for Oct.25 of the Glam Nails Challenge. Some days back, Kayla did a pond mani featuring zombies. They looked pretty cool, so I took that idea, but instead I used ghosts. I couldn't do as many layers as she did, but they still look ok. On my accent, I just added a glitter topper in between layers and then on top as well. After that dried, I stamped on the ghost and the word "Boo". The last thing to do was add top coat.
Close-Ups:
Well I hope you guys liked them. Thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.22 - Haunted House

Happy Sunday guys! I hope you're all having a great weekend.

So today I have another Glam Nails Challenge mani. The theme for Oct.22 was Haunted House, and I have to say that I am in love with this mani. I started off by doing a radial gradient with 3 beautiful holo polishes from the Lavish Polish Fall 2017 Collection, and I'm so pleased with how the gradient turned out. After that, I applied a coat of top coat. Then, I chose the images I'd be stamping on and applied them one by one. Once the stamping was dry, I went ahead and added some top coat.

Thumb Close-Up:
Holding "Plum Cider" by Lavish Polish:
I think this might be my favorite Halloween mani so far. Both the gradient and stamping came out amazing! I hope you guys like them as much as I do.

As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.18 - Sugar Skull

Hi guys! Today's Glam Nails Challenge is Sugar Skull for Oct.18. I decided to use some really bright neon colors for my base since Dia de los Muertos is usually very bright and colorful. I chose my polishes and did a smoosh mani using my stamper, and added top coat to that after it dried. I then chose my images, did some reverse stamping, and then applied the images to my nails. I actually took off the mustache to one of the sugar skull images so I could make a sugar skull couple. I think they turned out pretty cute. I also added some Cempasuchils, or Marigolds, because they are usually used for the Day of the Dead celebrations.
Close-Ups:
So what do you guys think? I know they're a bit vibrant for Halloween, but I think they came out pretty cool.

Oh, and here's how the base looked before I added any stamping.
Close-Ups:
Well thank you for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.15 - Candy Corn

Hi guys! Candy Corn is today's theme for Oct.15 of the Glam Nails Challenge. I was actually going to do a gradient, but it didn't really work out, so I had to come up with something else. I decided to make decals, so I painted on all 3 colors on my silicone mat in the right order. I made long lines of polish for each color and let it dry completely. I then added a coat of top coat, let that dry and then picked it up after dry. To make the candy corn, I took some scissors and cut them out. I painted my black base on and let it dry. To apply the decal, I used some clear polish over the black and then pressed on the decal. Some of the colors weren't as bright, so I used a small brush and the according polish on top. To finish off, I applied my top coat. It kind of sounds like a lot, but it wasn't that difficult. Well here's how it came out.
Close-Ups:
I hope you guys liked it. I'm actually kind of glad that my gradient didn't turn out well, or else I wouldn't have done this design. Lol.

Well thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.11 - Spider Web

Hi guys! Spider Web is the Oct.11 theme for the Glam Nails Challenge. I had a half-moon mani already in mind, and then I saw Martina do a spider mani. She used rhinestones to make the spider's body which I just loved, so I had to add a spider too. Hehe. So I started off with a metallic polish, which left my nails really stained by the way (I had to scrub my nails with a brush and soap, which took most of it off). I found a perfect spider web image, and after adding top coat over the metallic polish, I stamped it on the top of my nails to make a sort of half-moon mani. I then found a good-size spider image and stamped it on. After that, I added the little rhinestones and sealed everything with a top coat. I really like how it ended up looking.
Close-Ups:
So what do you guys think? I really love this mani. It's pretty, simple, and perfect for Halloween. I hope you guys like it.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.08 - Pumpkins

Hi guys! The next theme for the Glam Nails Challenge is Pumpkins, and I'm so excited to finally share this mani with you. I started with a dark green base and then did some reverse stamping with a pumpkin image. The pumpkin image was actually a jack o'lantern, so it had a face which I painted over to have a simple pumpkin image. I let the image dry a bit on the stamper and then stamped it on the tips of my nails. Last thing to do was add top coat.
Close-Ups:
In this picture, you can actually see the brown jelly with glitters I used for the stem.
Blurry Shot:
Can you tell how much I love this mani? I was so happy with how it turned out, and I hope you guys like it too. By the way, I will have a video of them on my Instagram, so make sure you're following me there so you won't miss it.

As always, thank you for stopping by. Until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.04 - Skeleton

Hi guys! I'm back with the second mani for the Glam Nails Challenge, the theme was Skeleton. I started with a black base and added a coat of an opalescent polish topper. After that was dry, I went ahead and picked a few skeleton images and stamped them on. The last thing to do was to add top coat.
Close-Ups:
I love how the base color turned out, it goes so well together. I couldn't have picked a better color. Yes, I know white goes with everything, so it would've looked fine over another color, but the green-ish color looks appropriate for a Halloween mani. To me it looks as if the skeletons are in the dirt or a grave. Spooky, huh? Lol. Well I like the end result, I hope you guys like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time.

Glam Nails Challenge: Oct.01 - Black Cat

Hi guys! This month I'm going to be doing a challenge. I haven't done this in a while, so I hope I can finish. The Glam Nails Challenge was put together by Bianka on IG. The first challenge was Black Cat, and here's what I came up with. I used a neon purple (why is it so difficult to photograph neons!?) as my base and stamped on the cat images, I also used a lime green polish to dot on the eyes. The ears and tail I got by stamping on a pair of bat wings and the tail from the cat image, I also went over the images with a brush and polish to fix any imperfections and darken up the images.
Close-Ups:
Well I hope you guys liked these more than I did. I actually felt ok about these when I first finished, but once I uploaded them to the computer I was disappointed. But oh well, I'll just have to re-do these in the future or something.

I've linked the challenge page in case any of you are interested.
