Bestie Twin Nails with Lex

Purchased By Me / Giveaway Prize*

Happy Monday guys! Today I have some Bestie Twin Nails to share with you. I was so excited and honored when Lex asked me if I wanted to do some bestie twin nails with her. She's known as lexstasynails on Instagram, and if you don't follow her yet you should. Her designs are freaking amazing, and her work is usually done all freehand which makes it even more awesome. Well anyways, I of course said yes and we began to brainstorm. We decided to do a simple mani with mint green and gray as our colors, and we incorporated chevrons and polka dots. Check out our manis.
Collage was put together by Lex:
I love how both our manis came out. Lex suggested we do them at the same time instead of one of us doing the mani first and the other one of us copying it afterwards. So that's what we did, and they ended up looking pretty similar. The only difference was our polka dots, but I'm still in love with the outcome.
Solo Shot:
To get this look, I started with a base coat and followed with my base colors. Once dry, I added a coat of top coat so I could lay down my vinyls* on my index and ring finger. (The chevron vinyls were part of a giveaway prize, so I don't know where they were purchased.) I added my second color over the vinyls and took them off while the polish was still wet. On my middle finger and pinky I just added polka dots. I finished off with a coat of glossy top coat.

I had a great time collaborating with Lex, so I hope we get the chance to do this again. Well I hope you all enjoyed this post. Thanks for stopping by, until next time.

Return of the Rainbow Collab

Hey guys, Happy Sunday. Today I bring you a beautiful rainbow! A rainbow mani, that is. Lol. So, Amber from nailslikelace on Instagram, hosted a nail art collaboration. The theme was rainbow. 54 people participated and Amber put this colorful collage together.
Collage by Amber:
Amber said we could do anything we wanted with the theme. We could use pastels, neons, the regular rainbow colors, etc. I decided to stick with the regular colors for my mani. I wasn't sure what to do, but I thought about recreating a mani I did last year with rainbow colors. I ended up doing something completely different because I wanted to blobbicure a second time. Apart from the blobbicure, I also wanted to incorporate a gradient. So that's what I did, check it out.
For the blobbicure, I first did a coat of white polish. Once dry, I added the second coat and added the blobs of colorful polish while the white polish was still wet. I did this, one nail at a time. I waited a while before finally adding top coat, but unfortunately, the polish still smeared. For the gradient, I first applied a coat of white polish so the colors would pop more. Then, I did the gradient with acrylic paints and topped it off with a glitter topper. Everything was sealed with a top coat. This mani was so colorful, fun and sparkly. I just loved it! Even though it smeared, it still looked pretty cool.

Night Violet

Hey guys! Today I have a swatch of Avon Nailwear Pro+ "Night Violet". It's a rich dark eggplant purple with some golden shimmer to it, but you can also see some rainbow sparkle in the polish which makes it much more beautiful. I did 2 coats but I think I should have done 3, just because it ended up not being as opaque towards the top (near the cuticle). For each coat, I waited around 5 minutes for the polish to dry.

Doesn't it also look wonderful when it's matte? You can still see the shimmer even in that state, which I love. So what's your favorite: Glossy or matte?
Thank you so much for reading everyone, and I hope you enjoyed this short post. Oh, and sorry that some of the pictures came out a bit blurry. Until next time. Bye.

Midnight Green

Hi! Today I have a swatch for you guys.

I got this beautiful polish about a month and a half ago, which I just got around to swatching 2 weeks ago. It's called "Midnight Green" by Avon (Nailwear Pro+), and it's a beautiful dark pine green. I absolutely love this color for fall, it might even be great for winter. Since I swatched it almost 2 week ago, I can't recall how many coats I did. I've tried to remember, but I'm not exactly sure. (I should really write it down next time, lol!) I believe this was 2 coats.
Glossy Top Coat:
Matte Top Coat:

This polish looks stunning either way in my opinion, but I might prefer it with the glossy top coat. How do you prefer it?
